Obedience and Training
A recent article from the New York Times News Service discussed the latest news surrounding behavior problems in pets. It was encouraging to note that veterinary specialists are seeing an increased amount of awareness and involvement on the part of owners in addressing the undesired behavior, working on a solution, and avoiding getting rid of the pet.
As a full service veterinary hospital, Shadow Lake Animal Hospital offers assistance with training and behavior modification. Our goal is to help our clients establish and maintain a satisfying and healthy relationship with their pet family members.
We are proud to recommend Todd Langston, a canine behavior expert. He offers in-home training consultations on a visit by visit basis, as well as behavior rehabilitation programs that combine time in my pack with different levels of follow up in the clients home. He also has puppy packages available. Todd has spent thousands of hours in large packs of rehabilitated dogs at a dog psychology center in Los Angeles, performed well over 1,000 in-home consultations, help countless shelter and rescue dogs and even has a degree in human psychology and behavior. For more information please visit his website at http://www.ocpacklife.com.
We are fortunate to be able to also recommend and enlist the help of Edd Gordon, a behaviorist and licensed dog trainer in Florida since 1972. Edd has done many types of training such as working extensively with the American Kennel Club and competing in the show ring, both for show and obedience. However, Edd now dedicates his time to helping pet owners prevent potential behavior problems and cure those that may exist. He is available for private and group training sessions.
